God’s Word tells us the truth about Himself, His holiness, and man’s condition as a lost sinner.

“For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even the divine asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5

“For I am the Lord your God; ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy.” Leviticus 11:44

Results of man’s sin

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“For if you live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Romans 8:13

“Then when lust hath conceived; it bringeth forth sin; and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” James 1:15

“Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.” 2 Thessalonians 1: 9

Eternal death / punishment in hell

“And these shall go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into life eternal.” Matthew 25:46

Everlasting fire: “Then he shall say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devils and angels.” Matthew 25:41

A lake of fire: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelations 20:15

Unquenchable fire: “Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:12

Devouring fire: “The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?” Isaiah 33:14

How to escape God’s judgment upon sin

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8, 9

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.” Titus 3:5

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

Repentance is necessary.

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19

“Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven me.” Acts 6:26

Repentance is turning from sin.

“”When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them.” 2 Chronicles 6:26

Repentance is turning from idolatry.

“Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.” Ezekiel 14:6

“For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.” I Thessalonians 1:9

The nature of repentance

“Look unto me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:22

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there you’re your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” II Corinthians 5:17

“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:2

God's provision for our need

."Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

"And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
"And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
"For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Salvation is by Christ alone.

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

Confess Jesus Christ as Lord

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
"For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
"For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10: 9 - 13

For you to have God’s forgiveness, heaven and eternal life, and Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, pray the following: “Dear LORD, I believe that Christ died and shed His precious blood to save my soul. Be merciful to me a sinner, forgive my sins and save me in Jesus' name. Lord Jesus, I now accept you as my Saviour. Amen.”

Eternal life here and now

If you have made this decision to repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you now have eternal life. As I John 5: 11 - 13 say, "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
