Awards
Recipient of the following scholarship awards: (1) Ong Ai Gui 4 year-scholarship
award to the Rizal High School awarded
by the Mandaluyong Elementary School 1969, and (2) National Science
Development Board scholarship, University of the Philippines,
1973;
Passed with a rating of 88.55% the 1985 Philippine Board Exam
for Teachers.
Work experience
Journalism teacher and yearbook adviser: Quezon City Science High School, 1983 -
1984, and Rizal High School, Pasig, 1984 - 1995;
From 1984 up to 1991, organized the Mini Press Conference, an
annual press conference among 400 journalism students from Rizal
High School, Quezon City Science High
School, UP Integrated School, Colegio del Buenconsejo, La Immaculada
Concepcion School, Pasig Catholic College, Ramon Magsaysay (Cubao) High School, Philippine
Science High School, Marikina High School and other schools, with
resource speakers such as prominent journalists, Cabinet secretaries,
other government officials, and performing groups like the National
Taekwondo Demonstration Team, the Wu
Shu Federation of the Philippines, and
UP Kontragapi;
Handles civil, criminal, administrative and land cases, but
preparing to go into full-time youth ministry, and if God answers
his prayer for a partner in life, into covenant
marriage ministry.
Ministries
Since July 2004, as part of his ministry for Bethany Baptist Church
(Makati) and Asia Baptist Bible College, Atty. Galacio has been
conducting free lecture-seminars in photojournalism for grade
schools and high schools, and youth groups.(He took all the pictures
in this website.)
He is a volunteer editor for www.joshuaproject.net,
a world missions unreached peoples groups ministry. As published
in the March
16, 2007 issue of Brigada Today (a publication of www.brigada.org),
Atty. Galacio is offering free writing and editing services (articles
in American English, for web or print) for individuals, groups,
churches or ministries involved in world missions in the 10-40
Window.
He also conducts free seminars for churches, schools, barangays
and other organizations on the following topics: (1) Essential
Provisions of the Family Code; (2) RA 9262 Anti-Violence Against
Women and Their Children Act of 2004; (3) Procedures in Administrative
Cases Against Teachers; (4) The 1987 Constitution and Freedom
of Religion: clergy malpractice, discipline of church members,
(5) preventing marital infidelity; (6) preventing the sexual abuse
of children; (7) introduction to photography; and (8) cybermissions:
how church members can participate in world evangelism and missions
through the Internet.
Any group which wants to hold these seminars can e-mail for
available schedules. Churches can hold these seminars as part
of their outreach activities to their communities.
